Starting a new job is likely to be one of the most disruptive and fantastic events of your professional life. It´s amazingly challenging and life changing. But let´s face it, it can also be hard and frustrating at times.

That´s why we´ve developed the Firebrand Onboarding toolbox that helps your new employer with a set of tools that will help you meet eachothers expectations and help you become a productive and valued member of your team quickly.

We´ll help you onboard and provide a safe pair of hands with these tools

1. Set Goals. Get Wins. We´ll help your employer set goals for you that you can define together and follow up. The uncertainty for most people starting new jobs is often derived from a combination of i) not knowing exactly what to do, and ii) not knowing exactly what the organization expects you to do. We´ll proactively support your employer managing this by creating a clear plan with 30, 60 and 90-day goals. This creates valuable transparency regarding the organization’s expectations and help you set priorities

2. Anchoring in the organizational culture. When you understand the culture in your new workplace, you´ll be much more motivated and likely to get ideas that will fit the strategy. In the first few days of starting your new job, you will be absorbing and learning the ways of your organization. This is where you act as a sponge for culture. Anything which happens in your organization during the onboarding, whether intentionally or not, will be something you add to your organizational culture framework. We´ll make sure that you understand about the desired cultural behaviour and be available for coaching regarding the cultural interaction if you need us.

3. Funnel excitement into change. The excitement of new talent, and for you the opportunities in your new job, can act as a very valuable fuel to rethink and innovate. Change is always resource demanding and challenging for you personally. You´re likely to find that you have a lot to learn. You´ll be able to use the disruption as a great trigger point to reassess processes, strategies, goals, etc. This also becomes a powerful way to get more involved in your new team. We´ll help your new employer get the most of this opportunity.
